College football: Today's bowl games

Meineke Car Care Bowl

Northwestern (6-6) vs. Texas A&M (6-6), Houston, 10 a.m., ESPN

Line: Texas A&M by 10 points

Series: First meeting

WHAT'S AT STAKE

A winning record for each team. The Aggies haven't won a bowl game since 2001. The Wildcats haven't won a bowl game since the 1949 Rose Bowl.

KEY MATCHUP

Texas A&M's run game vs. Northwestern's run defense. The Aggies, who leave the Big 12 and join the SEC next summer, are averaging more than 209 yards rushing. The Wildcats are giving up an average of 185.

Sun Bowl

Georgia Tech (8-4) vs. Utah (7-5), El Paso, noon, CBS

Line: Georgia Tech by 2? points

Series: Utah leads 1-0

WHAT'S AT STAKE

Georgia Tech will try to avoid losing its seventh consecutive bowl game. The Utes will look to bounce back after losing to Colorado in the finale of their first season in the Pac-12.

KEY MATCHUP

Utah's run defense vs. Georgia Tech's option offense. The Utes surrender only 97 yards rushing per game (ranked seventh nationally) and allow 19.7 points per game (18th). But they will be tested by the Yellow Jackets, who are third nationally in rushing average (317 yards).

Liberty Bowl

Vanderbilt (6-6) vs. Cincinnati (9-3), Memphis, Tenn., 1:30 p.m., ESPN

Line: Vanderbilt by 1? points

Series: Vanderbilt leads 4-3

WHAT'S AT STAKE

Vanderbilt can finish with a winning season for only the second time since 1982 and the program's third bowl victory in five tries. Cincinnati can improve to 7-6 in bowls and add the Liberty Bowl trophy to its share of the Big East title.

KEY MATCHUP

Vanderbilt running back Zac Stacy vs. Cincinnati's defense. Stacy set a school record by running for 1,136 yards, and he's averaging 6.2 yards per carry. The Bearcats allow an average of 94 yards rushing per game. That ranks second in the Big East and sixth nationally.

Fight Hunger Bowl

Illinois (6-6) vs. UCLA (6-7), San Francisco, 1:30 p.m., ESPN

Line: Illinois by 2? points

Series: UCLA leads 6-5

WHAT'S AT STAKE

Illinois is trying to snap a six-game losing streak in its first game under interim coach Vic Koenning. UCLA also has an interim coach, with Mike Johnson taking over after a 49-31 loss to Oregon in the Pac-12 title game. UCLA is the first team since North Texas in 2001 to go to a bowl with a losing record.

KEY MATCHUP

Illinois' defensive front seven vs. the UCLA run game. The Bruins have rushed for at least 200 yards six times this season, including five of their wins. Reaching that mark won't be easy against All-America defensive end Whitney Mercilus and the Illini, who rank seventh in the nation in total defense.

Chick-Fil-A Bowl

Virginia (8-4) vs. Auburn (7-5), Atlanta, 5:30 p.m., ESPN

Line: Auburn by 3 points

Series: Tied 1-1

WHAT'S AT STAKE

The Cavaliers are hoping for a victory in their first bowl appearance since the 2007 season. The Tigers of the SEC must overcome the suspension of star running back Michael Dyer. One year after winning the national championship, Auburn is looking to finish a disappointing season on a winning note.

KEY MATCHUP

Auburn's linebackers vs. Virginia running back Perry Jones. Tigers coach Gene Chizik is the fill-in defensive coordinator after Ted Roof left for the same job at Central Florida. The Tigers need a good plan to contain Perry, who leads Virginia with 883 yards.

US Civilians Are Now Helping Decide Who To Kill With Military Drones

drone

? Business Insider

President Obama's enormous expansion of the U.S. drone program may be pushing too fast for military staffing to keep up.

David S. Cloud of The Los Angeles Times reports the military is now forced to rely on a string of civilian contractors placed at all levels along the "kill chain." These are the people who analyze incoming drone video and decide when to fire Hellfire missiles.

The practice is not new.

According to Cloud, an American civilian played a "central" role in the Predator attack that accidentally killed 15 Afghans in 2010, information that "surprised" the investigating Army officer.

Manning the drone fleet is a mounting issue in the Air Force.

It takes more staff to fly a drone than an F-15, and with more drones than ever in the air, non-government employees are increasingly employed to analyze video, and keep the UAVs in the air.

The Air Force says it takes 168 people to fly a Predator for 24 hours, and 300 people to keep a Global Hawk aloft for the same time.

The Air Force owns 230 Reapers, Predators, and Global Hawks - flying 50 of them at any given time.

But it's the 730 more drones being added to the fleet over the next 10 years that may explain why military personnel are now being asked to fly four drones at once.

Announced last week and received with a wealth of concerns, the four drone per pilot program raises further concerns about an already legally muddled program.

Despite public resistance, legal questions, and additional pilot stress, military officials in the U.S. and Britain are already claiming to see "great promise" with the four drone program.

Unless the military drastically increases its recruiting efforts, with the defense cuts a huge improbability, there is likely to be an increasing number of civilians, working for profitable corporations, helping make decisions on when to fire U.S. weapons.

While the Air Force tries to maintain certain standards within its ranks, attempting to root out those with questionable legal backgrounds, and poor "moral standing," every corporation within the kill chain is guided by its own hiring practices.

Anonymous targets military-gear site in latest holiday hack

In what its calling another round of "LulzXmas festivities," an Anonymous-affiliated hacktivst group today is claiming yet another breach and posting of customer information.

On Christmas Day the target was security think tank Strategic Forecasting, or Stratfor. This time it was SpecialForces.com, a Web site that sells military gear.

SpecialForces.com

(Credit: Screenshot by CNET)

"Continuing the week long celebration of wreaking utter havoc on global financial systems, militaries, and governments, we are announcing our next target: the online piggie supply store SpecialForces.com," the group wrote in a Pastebin posting today.

The hackers said they breached the SpecialForces.com site months ago, but only just got around to posting the customer data. Even though the site's data was encrypted, they claim to have 14,000 passwords and details for 8,000 credit cards belonging to Special Forces Gear customers.

In a statement to CNET, Special Forces Gear founder Dave Thomas confirmed that his company's Web servers were compromised by Anonymous in late August, resulting in a security breach that allowed the hackers to obtain customer usernames, passwords, and possibly encrypted credit card information in some cases. "We have no evidence of any further security breaches, and we believe that the recent Stratfor incident is being used to bring this old news back into the spotlight," he noted.

Thomas added that the compromised passwords were from a backup of a previous version of the Web site that is more than a year old. "Most of the credit card numbers are expired, and we don't have evidence of any credit card misuse at this time," he wrote. "The current Web site does not store customer passwords or credit card information."

After the security breach, "we completely rebuilt our Web site and hired third-party consultants to help us shore up Web site security," he said, adding that the vast majority of the sites' sales are custom t-shirts and related gifts, and that the company donates a portion of its profits to charity.

Identity Finder, a New York-based data loss and identity theft prevention service, determined that files posted to date by Anonymous and its AntiSec offshoot related to this breach include 7,277 unique credit card numbers; 68,830 e-mail addresses (of which 40,854 are unique); and 36,368 plain-text usernames and passwords, some of which might be duplicates.

In the statement issued today, the hackers also took another shot at Stratfor for its alleged confusion over whether its data had been encrypted or not:

We also laughed heartily whilst these so-called protectors of private property scrambled desperately to recover the sensitive information of all the customers who they wronged by failing to use proper security precautions.

SpecialForces.com does encrypt customer data. "Nevertheless, our voodoo prevailed and we were quickly able to break back into the military supplier's server and steal their encryption keys," the hackers wrote. "We then wrote a few simple functions to recover the cleartext passwords, credit card numbers, and expiration dates to all their customers' cards. That's how we roll."

Teaching about HIV/AIDS in the church

? When the Rev. Keron Sadler of the NAACP tried to persuade churches around the country to play a more active role in HIV/AIDS education, she drew some hostile reactions. One pastor said his congregants might think he was gay. Another said AIDS is a curse. Yet another walked out of the room rather than discuss the topic.

Those reactions highlight the challenges facing Baltimore as it enlists church outreach for its ambitious goal of curbing new HIV/AIDS cases by 25 percent in the next four years.

The disease remains a sensitive topic among some ministers, as Sadler found when a similar NAACP initiative took her to churches in 11 cities, including Baltimore. Discussing HIV/AIDS means delving into topics ? gay sex, promiscuity and drug use ? that churches may not want to be seen as embracing or condoning. Some churches ignore the subject, while others tackle it in a way that passes judgment on lifestyles, leaving some people reluctant to seek help.

Bishop Willard Saunders Jr. of the Created For So Much More Worship Center in the Cherry Hill neighborhood said that he promotes HIV/AIDS education, but does not sacrifice the beliefs of the church in doing so. The church tells members that gay sex, sex with multiple partners and drug use are all unsavory, risky behaviors that lead to bad consequences such as HIV/AIDS.

?If you choose to live an unhealthy lifestyle, it puts you at risk,? Saunders said. ?I believe homosexuality is wrong. I believe it?s wrong the same way adultery is wrong. The same way that lying is wrong.?

S. Todd Yeary, the pastor of Douglas Memorial Community Church in West Baltimore, takes a different approach. He knows that in educating about HIV/AIDS, churches may be confronted with issues that go against their beliefs. Churches, he said, need to learn to teach about prevention without passing judgment.

?Part of the challenge of dealing with the dilemma of HIV has been a reluctance to be honest with the fact that our job is not to police what goes on in people?s bedrooms,? Yeary said.

Many AIDS activists say the church has to be a part of the fight against the disease, reaching residents who may already have it or people with behaviors that put them at risk.

Churches are the heart of many neighborhoods in Baltimore, where HIV/AIDS affects more than 13,000 residents. And it is from the pulpit that many residents ? especially African-Americans, who make up 85 percent of Baltimore cases ? get their messages. To many people, the pastor?s word is sacred.

?The church is a foundation of bringing communities together,? said Baltimore City Health Commissioner Oxiris Barbot. ?We need them to help get out the message about AIDS.?

A 2002 survey found that 46 percent of Baltimore injection drug users had attended church in the past month. A recent survey of 300 clients with HIV who get treatment through the Jacques Initiative health program at the University of Maryland said faith is important in their lives, and 44 percent said faith became even more important after they were diagnosed with the disease.

Churches already do charitable work, such as food drives and homeless outreach, that would complement HIV-prevention efforts, health officials said. Some churches have HIV/AIDS programs that include testing, workshops and education, and city officials hope to have them reach out to peers who may be more hesitant.

The city recently announced plans to reach out to churches as part of an initiative for fighting the disease at its earliest stages, by limiting its transmission and pushing for more widespread testing. The goal of the plan, crafted by the Baltimore City Commission on HIV/AIDS, is to cut the annual number of new diagnoses from 505 to 379 by 2015.

Other recommendations called for expanding needle-exchange programs, promoting testing in primary-care doctors? offices, and targeting outreach to gay and sex clubs, schools, senior centers and prisons.

?We are trying to work with opinion leaders, which are often religious and community leaders, to recognize that stigmatizing attitudes have a profoundly negative effect on prevention,? said commission chairman William Blattner, who is associate director of the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. ?We are trying to get them to recognize we?re here to help people, not judge them, and get pastors to have a more enlightened approach.?

Blattner and others said they are not asking churches to sacrifice their religious beliefs.

?We don?t have an agenda other than providing important public health messaging,? Barbot said. ?We?re very cognizant of steering away from the moral issue. For us it?s a public health issue, not a moral issue.?

The city wants to target churches in areas with the highest HIV/AIDS concentrations and risk factors. Barbot said they can work with churches to approach the subject in broad, general terms. Some churches may not feel comfortable giving out free condoms. Others may give out literature, but not want to talk about HIV/AIDS from the pulpit.

?The reality is there are some churches that will be initially hesitant because they may have some preconceived notion to what we are looking to do,? Barbot said. ?We want people to know we will meet them where they are.?

In Baltimore, issues that may be controversial to some ministers are at the heart of the AIDS epidemic ? particularly homosexuality.

Heterosexual contact was the most common way people contracted the disease, according to a 2009 survey. About 38 percent of people contracted the disease this way.

But a disproportionate number of cases came from men having sex with men; about 36 percent of people contracted the disease this way. While the number of gay men in the city is not known, they make up about 2 percent of the national population.

HopeSprings, a Baltimore nonprofit that trains church leaders on HIV/AIDS education, said their comfort level varies on sensitive topics.

?We try to present them with all the different options,? said Erin Donovan, executive director of HopeSprings. ?We want them to do what fits their church.?

A committee for the Baltimore-based NAACP is creating a manual for churches on how to teach HIV/AIDS prevention methods. Research for the guide led Sadler on the 11-city tour to talk to churches.

Sadler said the HIV Faith & Social Justice manual would present AIDS prevention as a social justice issue that addresses health disparities along with the teachings. It will provide pastors with optional sermons, such as teaching that the Bible says people should not judge others.

?We have to reshape the conversation when it comes to HIV because it is so taboo and rejected,? Sadler said.

Some church programs have made strides in efforts to address HIV/AIDS. Project Shalem, under the Jacques Initiative, has tested close to 5,000 people at churches throughout the city. In the process, workers discovered 10 new HIV/AIDS cases and were able to get additional treatment for 96 others.

?For us, not energizing the church is a big mistake,? said Derek Spencer, executive director of the Jacques Initiative. ?There are people sitting in church affected by HIV/AIDS.?

John Smith, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Essex, said his church hasn?t done any AIDS outreach, but said it could be done without delving into people?s sexual histories.

?Whether or not it should be tied to the issue of sexuality, I don?t know,? Smith said. ?I don?t know if that would be one in the same. I think it would simply be enough to address the AIDS epidemic as a terrible disease that we have a responsibility to do something about.?

Ron Paul on Possible Donald Trump Run: Not Happening!

GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul appeared on Fox News Friday and was asked about a possible third-party Donald Trump run, now that he's become an independent.

Paul is not concerned.

“To each his own, he may do it. I doubt he’ll do it," he said. "If he really wanted to be president, why walk away? Why is he concerned he couldn’t do it as a Republican?”

“I have no idea what he is going to do,” Paul said.

“I don’t think he will be calling me for advice. I don’t think he will ask for an appointment to come see me to get advice or an endorsement. I’m not expecting that.”

Your World host Neil Cavuto asked the Republican hopeful why he never "kissed Trump’s ring" like many of the other candidates had over the past year. His reply:

“I didn’t think it was necessary or appropriate ... How could he endorse what I’m doing? My positions are pretty much opposite of what he talks about."

"He doesn’t believe in free market. He likes the Federal Reserve. He is not a free trader. He likes tariffs. So there is not a lot we have in common.”

That about sums it up from Paul's perspective.

Fire Ravages North Tulsa Church On Christmas Eve

TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa firefighters battled?a structure fire at?a north Tulsa church early Saturday. Crews were called to the?Cornerstone FWB Church?shortly after 10 a.m.

Neighbors gathered outside to watch the longtime church go up in smoke.

When crews arrived at the church, heavy smoke was pouring from the attic. Firefighters searched the building and found no one inside, according to Public Information Officer Stan May of the Tulsa Fire Department.

The initial attack on the fire was hampered by problems with the water supply.

"Firefighters were almost to the seat of the fire when we lost our water supply and had to pull the firefighters out for a little bit to re-establish the water supply," he said. "By the time they got back in, it had continued to spread in the attic."

A back-up crew hooked up a secondary line to another hydrant, he said.

Thick?smoke could be seen billowing from the structure in the 4900 block of East Latimer, near Admiral and Yale, for over an hour. May said the blaze appeared to have started in the southeast corner of the building's attic, but the cause will be determined by fire investigators.

Church members were quickly on scene trying to clean up items including a wooden pulpit and Nativity scene.

"This is a shock," said Donald Phelps, who plays piano?at the church. He?was married in the church in 1965.

"At least nobody was there," he said.

"Well, I was starting to cry earlier. I'm still on the verge of it," Phelps said. "My son was baptized here. My mother died last year ? I was going through her stuff earlier, and she had a certificate from when I went to Vacation Bible School here when I was a kid."

Onlookers, including several church members who rushed over, were helpless as the church caved in.

"There's a lot of memories that's going to go along with the loss, but at the same time, we can build new ones and trust in the Lord," said church leader Shawn Rogers.

"We're still going to serve the Lord and we're still going to be glad and happy on this Christmas Eve, on Jesus' birthday."

The church has a secondary building where they will be able to hold services.

On Sunday, the church is holding its candlelight Christmas service at 11 a.m. That service will be held in the family life building next to the church.

WD TV Live, Live Hub get an official iOS remote app, Vudu streaming and more

Western Digital is making sure its hardware can keep pace in the media streamer arms race, matching recent additions by Microsoft and Roku by issuing updates of its own. New services added to the WD TV Live and WD TV Live Hub boxes are Vudu (with HDX 1080p support, unlike the Xbox 360), SnagFilms, XOS College Sports, SEC Digital, Comedy Time and Watch Mojo. To help users navigate through all the extra content, it also recently rolled out its own official iOS remote app, although like Roku, there have already been a few unofficial options available as well. The WD TV remote is a free app and offers direct access to any of the services on your WD TV box and even multiplayer gaming provided all devices are on the same network. An Android version is said to be in the works, for now owners can check out all the details in the press release after the break or hit iTunes to download the app.

Facebook's Social Ad Strategy Suffers Legal Blow - Liz Gannes ...

In a ruling that could have significant implications for Facebook?s business, a U.S. district court judge has denied Facebook?s request to throw out a lawsuit by users upset about being featured in its advertisements.

Nothing is final ? all that?s been decided is that the class action lawsuit can continue ? but the judge did not seem friendly to Facebook?s advertising strategy.

A spokesman for Facebook said, ?We are reviewing the decision and continue to believe that the case is without merit.?

Facebook?s business proposition is that ads are better when they are social, because we care about the products our friends endorse. The lawsuit is over a key type of social ad called a ?Sponsored Story,? which is generated after a Facebook user clicks the ?Like? button on a brand?s page and is shown to that user?s friends.

The plaintiffs in the case said that they clicked on ?Like? buttons in order to ?receive discounts on products, support social causes, or to see a humorous image.? They weren?t necessarily saying they endorsed a product or consented to be put in an ad.

In legal terms, Facebook allegedly violated their ?right of publicity.?

(For background, using the ?Like? button as an access gate may not have been the original intent of the feature, which was a replacement for users becoming a fan of a brand?s page. However, lots of brands now do it so they can do things like raise their ?Like? count, maintain ongoing relationships with users, and spread Sponsored Stories. This is something Facebook presumably could crack down on.)

Facebook replied to the court that its users have consented to this kind of thing by agreeing to its Terms of Use. But Judge Lucy H. Koh agreed with the plaintiffs that Sponsored Stories didn?t exist when many of the users agreed to the Terms of Use, and Facebook didn?t ask them to review or renew when it added the opt-out feature.

(It?s possible that in the aftermath of the Facebook-FTC settlement, Facebook would have to be more careful about explaining and rolling out this kind of feature in the future.)

The plaintiffs want to be paid for their endorsements, citing public statements by Facebook execs about how effective the social ads are. Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg has said Sponsored Stories are twice as likely to be remembered as an ordinary ad, and three times as likely to inspire a user to buy something.

In her ruling, Koh denied 10 different ways Facebook tried to get the case dismissed. The only place Koh agreed with Facebook is that the plaintiffs can?t claim ?unjust enrichment? as a cause of action ? but that?s basically a technicality, because recent California case law says that?s no longer something you can claim.

Washington, Vernon say they're leaving Miami early

(AP) ? Miami officials announced Friday that offensive lineman Brandon Washington and defensive end Olivier Vernon are skipping their final college seasons for the NFL draft.

Washington was one of nine players to start all 12 games for the Hurricanes this past season. Miami has now had five underclassmen declare for the 2012 draft, including running back Lamar Miller, wide receiver Tommy Streeter and defensive lineman Marcus Forston.

Vernon was suspended for the first six games this season after an investigation showed he took extra benefits from a former booster during the recruiting process. He had 18 tackles in six games this season with the Hurricanes.

Miami is losing two other offensive line starters to graduation, along with quarterback Jacory Harris and top linebacker Sean Spence.

What voters didn?t learn from all the Republican debates in 2011: Character Sketch (The Ticket)

SIOUX CITY, Iowa--In the spin room after Thursday night's debate, Eric Fehrnstrom, a senior adviser to Mitt Romney, said of his candidate, "Americans watching at home could easily imagine him in the Oval Office." The line was, of course, designed to be flattering to Romney (this was the spin room, after all), but it captured the leap of faith that voters will make next month, beginning in Iowa on Jan. 3.

How do you imagine a president? Despite the oversize role of TV debates in the 2012 Republican presidential campaign, as the curtain falls on 2011? it is worth remembering how much about the job of the president was never discussed during these celebrity survivor shows. Three years ago, few Democrats, flush with the enthusiasm of the 2008 campaign season, could have envisioned President Barack Obama bedeviled by congressional Republicans and buffeted by chilly economic winds he cannot control. Now Republicans have to identify a would-be president from the seven candidates on stage during the final debate before the Iowa caucuses--picturing one of them delivering a State of the Union address, choosing the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and struggling with more gloomy projections from economic advisers.

The debates in 2011 did little to help voters to imagine the 45th president. The moderators could not resist fatuous horse-race questions: Megyn Kelly asked Rick Santorum on Thursday, "So far your campaign and you have failed to catch fire with the voters. Why?" The strait-jacket imposed by one-minute answers is at odds with the complexity of the presidency. Jon Huntsman was all but forced to sit in the corner with a dunce cap after he had the temerity to try to take two minutes to explain the role of the United Nations in American foreign policy. Candidates are also adroit at confecting crowd-pleasing banalities instead of real answers. Romney boldly declared, "It has to be the American century. America has to lead the free world."

The real problem is that debates tend to revolve around position-taking (what senators do all day) rather than executive policy-making (the job of a president). Early in the Sioux City debate, Newt Gingrich bragged, "I have a 90 percent American Conservative Union voting record for 20 years." Michele Bachmann burbled about devoting her congressional career to "going toe-to-toe with Barack Obama, taking him on, on every issue from Dodd-Frank to cap-and-trade to illegal immigration to Obamacare." Rick Perry once again peddled a balanced-budget amendment and a part-time Congress as a panacea. And Huntsman declared, ""We need to go to Congress and we need to say, you need term limits." (Almost certain congressional answer: "Fat chance.")

Even when the topic turned to a major presidential power, nominating federal judges, the emphasis quickly veered from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to Capitol Hill. Gingrich was asked about his long-standing proposal for Congress (not the president) to subpoena judges to justify controversial decisions. This was all part of the former House speaker's pledge "to take on the judiciary if, in fact, it did not restrict itself in what it was doing." Part of Gingrich's big-ideas solution involves eliminating entire federal appeals courts, as Thomas Jefferson did in 1802, should its decisions displease him. Because position-taking trumps governing in these battles waged from behind lecterns, Gingrich was never asked how such a radical proposal would survive a near-certain filibuster by Senate Democrats.

Sure, working with Congress is a major part of the presidential job description posted on Monster.com. But in debates, presidential candidates are allowed to claim without contradiction that they possess magical powers to cloud the minds of legislators. Perry, who has been a polarizing figure in both Texas and national politics, blandly invoked bipartisanship: "We need a president, who has that governing, executive experience, someone who understands how to work with both sides of the aisle." Romney, suggesting that not all Democrats are patriotic, said, "There are Democrats who love America as Republicans do, but we need to have a leader in the White House, that knows how to lead." Bachmann said that if she were president during last summer's debt-ceiling crisis, she would have met with all 535 members of Congress and dictated her three non-negotiable conditions--no tax increases, drastic spending cuts and fidelity to the Constitution. She ran out of time before she could explain how she could have convinced Democrats to agree without resorting to mass hypnosis.

Ron Paul was the only candidate to articulate his vision of the presidency: Calvin Coolidge for the 21st century, only sleepier. "I would be a different kind of president," Paul said with understatement. "I wouldn't be looking for more power. Everybody wants to be a powerful executive and run things. I, as the president, wouldn't want to run the world." Even as the Texas gadfly grew shrill in his exasperation with the bomb-bomb-bomb, bomb-bomb-Iran rhetoric from his Republican rivals, Paul was clear in how he would respond to ambiguous intelligence estimates: "I would say that the greatest danger is over-reacting."

Over-reacting to televised highlight reels from a debate is also dangerous. Often the most intriguing moments in debates are the ones that are barely mentioned in the after-action wrap-ups. Perry, for example, offered a brief, but telling, glimpse of his executive style when he said about Attorney General Eric Holder's ignorance of a failed federal gun-tracking operation on the Mexican border, "If I'm the president of the United States, and I find out that there is an operation like Fast and Furious and my attorney general didn't know about it, I would have him resign immediately."

Few debate questions--or answers--relate to the actual executive powers that come with the keys to the Oval Office and the codes for nuclear weapons.
