Howard Stern was officially announced as the new judge on "America's Got Talent" (replacing Piers Morgan, who left the NBC reality competition to focus on his CNN show) on Thursday, and the shock jock's predecessor says he approves of the new kid on the "AGT" block.
"Congrats to @HowardStern on landing my #AmericasGotTalent judging gig - he'll be outrageous, hilarious, dangerous & brilliant," Piers Tweeted on Thursday morning. "Can't wait."

Current "AGT" judge Howie Mandel told his Twitter followers he "couldn't be happier" about Stern's addition, adding, "I cannot wait. Let the judging begin."
While he may be looking forward to judging contestants with Howard at the table, Howie - who has openly spoken about his fear of germs - said uprooting his family from Los Angeles to New York City for the live shows, a change which was introduced to accommodate the DJ, could pose a problem.

"Trying to make arrangements for new season. You know I hate hotels. Can my family and myself stay at your place?good bonding@HowardStern," he Tweeted.
Host Nick Cannon offered his opinion on his 92.3 NOW radio show, "Rollin," on Thursday, admitting he and Howard aren't the best of friends.
"This is gonna make my job really interesting since I do host that show and in the past, me and Howard haven't had beef, but he makes fun of me sometimes - which I appreciate 'cause I'm a fan and all of that - but he says I put on my hip-hop black voice when I host," Nick said with a laugh. "But I think it's going to be good because Piers Morgan and I used to go back and forth with each other like crazy. So now, like, I've really gotta bring my A game because [with] Howard Stern, you never know what could happen with this guy.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Stern will be joining the judges' panel on "America's Got Talent," and the summer show will move from Los Angeles to accommodate the New York-based Sirius XM host, NBC said Thursday.
"Howard Stern's larger-than-life personality will bring a thrilling new dynamic to 'America's Got Talent' starting this summer," Paul Telegdy, NBC's president of alternative and late night programming said in a statement. "He's a proven innovator and his track record in broadcasting is truly remarkable."
